Chain Mills are used in the salt mining sector and the fertilizer industry for crushing of particularly sticky and porous materials, which have a tendency to clog. The crushing principle is similar to that of Hammer Mills whereas in this case the hammer heads are fixed to a chain. Chain mills are available with one or two rotors. On the design with two rotors, the rotors are driven in counter-rotation. Throughput capacity is up to 100 t/h, crushing ratio is up to 1:10.
