Double Roll Sizer are used in open pit mining (ROM) for primary, as well as for further crushing (second and third crushing stage). The feed material is crushed either by counter-rotating rolls (Centre Sizer) or between the rolls and the crushing plates by outwards rotating rolls (Side Sizer). The inclined lateral parts with integrated crushing combs allow an improved product feed of big lumps. Size reduction is attained by shearing stress and pressure, which are generated by high torques at the crushing roll. Throughput capacity is up to approx. 5.000 t/h, crushing ratio is approx. 1:4.
Feed materials: lignite, coal, soft to medium-hard rock, ore, chalk, gypsum, limestone, soil, overburden and similar products.
