In 1947, Herbert Aulmann, a mechanical engineer, Paul Beckschulte, an expert on hammer crushers and boiler furnaces as well as Franz Winterberg, an accountant, came together to found a machine company.  They named their company "Aulmann & Beckschulte Maschinenfabrik" and used the trade name "AUBEMA". Their aim was to design machines for crushing and processing various materials. In the following years specific machines incorporating new features for different industrial applications were successfully launched on the market.

The great demand in the market resulted in a long-term and continuous production growth.

Since beginning 2008 AUBEMA Crushing Technology is a wholly-owned member of the global industrial group Sandvik, headquartered in Sandviken, Sweden and is part of “Sandvik Mining and Construction”.

AUBEMA’s former owner, Norbert Britz, (a marketing and sales expert) will continue to head the company as a managing director.

Since its foundation, AUBEMA has produced about 7.000 machines, which are distributed in more than 70 countries all over the world.

Based on the integration into Sandvik, the company with its proven know-how and innovative technology is well prepared to hold a strong position in the group of international leaders in the specialised field of crushing and grinding. Customer-orientation is of prime importance.

 

The acquisition of AUBEMA by the Sandvik group, effective from January 2008, has resulted in the achievement of several strategic objectives. AUBEMA’s valuable expertise provides a significant complement to Sandvik’s existing know-how in industrial plant design within the sector of crushing technology. When dealing with large-scale projects, the entire process chain of the plant configuration will now be provided from one source – without any external assistance.

AUBEMA’s main objectives included expansion and job security. As a subsidiary of the Sandvik group, AUBEMA’s resources will be implemented to perform highly complex tasks.
